“Аpple Karavai”
Blend cooked millet with water, honey, and salt. Add the yeast and a little flour. Mix and let stand for 10 minutes.
Add vegetable oil and spices. Mix thoroughly. Gradually add flour. Knead.
Chop apples in a blender.
Separate about 1/10 of the dough to be used later for decoration, and keep the rest for the loaf.
Add raisins and chopped apples to the loaf mixture. Place dough into an oiled baking dish.
For the topping: mix sunflower seeds, flour or starch, honey, and 1 tablespoon of water. Spread on top of the apple karavai.
Let stand in a warm place for 2 hours.
Before baking, decorate with a braid, flowers, and leaves made of the reserved dough. Bake for 50 minutes at 350°F.
