Carob Brownie Buttons

“Parties Made Simple”

Ingredients

¾ cup coconut sugar
¾ cup whole wheat flour
⅓ c carob powder
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp coffee substitute (Pero, Roma, etc.)
6 Tbsp aquafaba (liquid from chickpeas)
¼ cup applesauce
¼ cup water
1 tsp vanilla
⅓ Carob chips or chopped walnuts (optional add ins)

Steps

Step 1
Preheat oven 350°F.
Step 2
Lightly brush a mini muffin pan with olive oil.
Step 3
In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients together.
Step 4
Use a tablespoon to fill each muffin cup with batter.
Step 5
If adding in carob chips or walnuts, add a few pieces to each brownie and push into the batter.
Step 6
Bake in oven for 20 minutes.
Step 7
Cool in muffin pan. Use a teaspoon to gently loosen each brownie and remove from pan.
